{handmade} wine rack.

i have always wanted to hang an old window in my house. i just love old things that are re-purposed. during our most recent antique-hunting adventure, we discovered that some vendors had turned old windows into shelves. brilliant! since we couldn't afford the ones already made, we made it our goal to make our own...after all, it is more fun that way!

we purchased an old window {with great character} for $10 at the depot at gibson mill and then headed over to lowes to gather the rest of our materials. a few pieces of lumber later, we were putting together our shelf. unfortunately we had to paint it since we mixed old wood with new, but our careful color choice preserved the antique feel.

now we have a unique and eclectic way to store {and display} some of our wine glasses and cheap wine.

{don't judge our love for charles shaw}
